What makes your journey at Elmscot a special one?
We are immensely proud to have been recognized as a Top 20 Day Nursery for the second consecutive year. Our commitment is to deliver the highest quality of care to our
children and their families, evident from the joyous smiles as they enter, the personalized activities throughout the day, and the nutritious meals prepared on-site, to the
heartfelt goodbyes at the end of the day.
Our team works diligently to grow as professionals in a field that plays a crucial role in shaping the future of today's children. We feel incredibly honoured to receive such
recognition through the wonderful reviews from our families. It holds great significance for us that each family feels valued, heard, and most importantly, part of our nursery
family.
Every day is distinct, as children engage in a wide array of activities tailored to their individual interests and developmental steps. Our team collaborates to brainstorm ideas
and design activities that align with the learning objectives for their key children. They compile a comprehensive resource list to enable the execution of these enriching
activities, ensuring that learning remains enjoyable.
Over the past two years, we have made significant improvements throughout the nursery, including a brand-new garden featuring a flourishing allotment and an outdoor zen
classroom. This space has become the venue for our weekly extracurricular activities, such as yoga and Jittabugs for our older babies and toddlers. Our Outdoor Lead, Mark,
spends his days nurturing our allotment alongside the children, leading to the growth of our own produce, including strawberries, sugar snap peas, and a variety of herbs for
our nursery meals.
In the background, our dedicated office team orchestrates a calendar of events and activities throughout the year. This encompasses everything from parent-focused events
(like Mother’s/Father’s Day, sports day, and sibling stay-and-play) to the delightful Easter Bonnet Parade featuring a special visit from the Easter Bunny! Our onsite
housekeeper ensures that the nursery is maintained to an impeccable standard.
Our team comprises a diverse group of highly qualified staff members with childcare degrees and some holding teaching statuses. Alongside these experienced individuals, we
also have a passionate group of apprentices who receive guidance from Diane, our Early Years Lead, who dedicates two full days each week to support our setting.
To express our gratitude to our team, we organize monthly events that include non-uniform days, breakfast sandwiches, and wellness initiatives like ‘Miles for March’ to
promote a positive workplace atmosphere.
