What makes your journey at Hale a special one?
At Hale Day Nursery, our goal is to provide children and families with a nurturing, home-like environment where they can thrive. Our dedicated team delivers a curriculum that emphasizes fun while
equipping children with essential knowledge and skills for their future learning.
We are located on a quiet road just outside the village, surrounded by fields and the River Bollin, offering a spacious outdoor area. We frequently visit the Bollin Woods and River, allowing children to
explore nature, boosting their self-confidence as they run, climb, and balance outdoors.
Children of all ages embark on weekly trips to local parks, shops for activity supplies, and the nearby train station to watch trains. We also visit places like China Town, Delamere Forest, and Tatton Park,
thanks to convenient train and bus routes. Our aim is to provide varied experiences that broaden children's understanding of the world. We invite visitors from diverse cultures and professions to share
their experiences, allowing children to taste foods and explore clothing from different cultures. Preschool children visit the local church monthly, engaging with an elderly group to foster understanding
and community cohesion.
We’re expanding our facilities with a large area for babies, a nature zone, and an outdoor classroom. Ground-floor rooms have free-flow garden access, regardless of the weather. Children grow fruits and
vegetables in garden allotment boxes, which are used for cooking activities. Our apple and pear tree provides crops harvested with our outdoor lead, Mark, who visits weekly.
Our separate Preschool building offers free-flow access to a designated area. A passionate teacher oversees the curriculum for school leavers and coordinates with local schools to ensure a smooth
transition.
Various extracurricular activities enrich our nursery experience, including weekly yoga, forest school outings, mini sports classes, and dance classes. Younger children enjoy music and movement sessions
with Moo Music, facilitated by specialized external providers.
Our kitchen team prepares freshly cooked meals daily, ensuring nutritious and balanced menus that help children achieve their five-a-day. We've worked to minimize ultra-processed foods, using pure
ingredients whenever possible.
We host numerous family events throughout the year, including Grandparents' afternoon tea, Mother’s Day crafts, Father’s Day breakfasts, parents’ evenings, stay-and-play sessions, and an Easter bonnet
parade.
We take pride in our skilled and long-standing team, who engage in ongoing training to enhance their skills, ensuring our practices remain current. We express gratitude with monthly events, including
well-being baskets, team outings, special breakfasts, and extra holidays during the Christmas break. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality service to our children, parents, extended families,
and our team. We use various quality assurance schemes, including audits from Hopscotch Early Years consultancy. Our Early Years lead, Kerry Ann, supports the nursery team and trains apprentices. The
management team attends local network meetings to share best practices and is always available to support families.
